Tracking my Progress

It has been a long time since I posted, but I think it is time for me to start up again. New things since I last posted... a lot. But I will list my most eventful.

- Got my motorcycle license and I love it! Riding a bike is such a rush and you get great gas mileage. The only downer is you really have to drive defensively... assuming everyone is going to take you out.
- I am single again. That happened a few months ago. Not too bad, not great... mixed feelings on that. I do think it was for the best as I don't feel that Tejia and I were really on the same page.
- I still have the same job.
- I lost 30 lbs since the beginning of the year. But now I have a new goal. This last weekend (June 1st would be the start), I have one year to get in enough shape to be able to do the requirements to get in to OCS (ie. be able to the the PFT to get into the Marines). No, I am not going into the Marines. Randy and I made a bet that I could do it with him next year, so if anything, I hope this will give him enough motivation to work out more to make it in next year as well as giving me an incentive to push myself. I think a year will be plenty of time to fulfill the requirements.

We will see. This last weekend, Katie and Emily came back with me to Iron Mountain. It was fun, if for anything, to have someone I know (other than my family) get to see my apartment. They came so they could pick up Emily's friend Cameron from the Green Bay airport. I had a lot of fun making the road trip with them (there never seems to be a dull moment... ever). Cameron is from London (Emily met him 4 years ago online and they have been talking ever since, but this is the first time they met). He seems like a pretty cool kid. He is staying for two weeks up in L'Anse.

Well that is all for now. I will be back soon :)

Woot woot for the 30lbs! I should throw you a party :)

And I was a witness to the bet so I will be keeping tabs on you two, even though I have faith :) I'm going to look like a lazy slob compared to you both.

Your apartment was fun and we'll make sure to come and visit again really soon. Maybe one of these weekends we'll come there instead of you here.

And damn straight there is never a dull moment...come on old chap, you know me and Emily too well :)

Tammy! This fall, we'll have to go riding together. I'm going to bring the Nighthawk up to Tech. I am also a certified safe hunter now and will be visiting my aunt and uncle in Niagara in September sometime... Are you still going to come up to Tech to visit?
